Empowering Social Workers: Unlocking The Potential Of Culturally Competent Care
Over the last year we have been working alongside researchers, social workers, children and families to keep the Promise for Scotland’s children. Passion4Fusion has been supporting families with children in the care system and realised the gap when it came to culture. For many African diaspora families, this system is scary, daunting and traumatic. While supporting families, we realised that there was a huge cultural gaps within services and inorder to make informed decisions for families, this had to be addressed. Being supported by THE PROMISE SCOTLAND through the Corra Foundation, we embarked on this unique Journey to support the workforce to cover these cultural gaps. We have now produced a toolkit.
Our toolkit is ready!!! Are you ready for it? We are excited to introduce a game-changing resource for social workers and professionals engaged in the care of African Diaspora children and families: our comprehensive toolkit.
As we recognise the unique challenges faced by the African diaspora communities, our toolkit stands as a beacon of knowledge, offering practical insights and innovative ideas to enrich the work of social workers and those involved in the care of children and young people.
